weekend full of fun at

father/son retreat

Here's an opportunity for fathers to experience what their sons have been enjoying for years.

April 3-5, 2020

Come join us for a Christ-centered, Biblically-based, practically-equipping retreat that will benefit both fathers and sons. Enjoy fellowship, great food, encouragement, and spending time together.

Father/Son Retreat Speaker

Dr. John Katison

I have a passion to help families raise children that want to pursue Jesus all their days. I also have a goal to never make the Bible boring and to help it come alive in the lives of families, and especially children. I use a narrative approach to preaching that I like to call exposi-story preaching. The Bible is 70-80% stories and uses narrative to convey truth and knowledge and it is my goal to remain true to scripture while maintaining the power of the story. Using this approach the Lord has opened doors for me to speak at camps, churches, retreats and to produce a weekly podcast called Baldhead Bible (www.Baldheadbible.com) where I aim to use exposi-story preaching to make the Bible meaningful in my listeners lives.

I have been married for 27 years to my wonderful wife Peggy and am currently discipling three sons: Jacob (24), Lincoln (22), and Elijah (19). I have taught communication studies for over 28 years at various Colleges and Universities. I taught for four years at Multnomah University and currently teach communication at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri.
