- Retreat Guest Testimonials -

My family and I recently spent two nights away at Trout Creek Bible Camp in their new cabins for a mini family getaway. It was an amazing experience. The cabin was very clean and spacious. It had more than enough beds for our family of five, and the kids thought the triple bunk bed awesome. The cabin is heated and has its own bathroom and shower.

Masks were required in the dining hall until seated with food and when around others. We had the whole camp to ourselves beside staff. There are signs directing you on how to stay safe with the COVID-19 pandemic and hand sanitizer everywhere. We felt safe being there.

It was so nice to be outside and away from technology for a while. The staff cooked great meals and were very accommodating of my vegetarian diet and my kid's typical pickiness around food. We even got to make s’mores one night. It was a very fun family trip, and I can't wait to go back. I can see it relaxing as a couple's getaway or a personal retreat to be closer to God and oneself in a quiet and peaceful environment.

Thank you, TCBC, for a truly memorable weekend! Our family was so thankful to have time together this past weekend doing crafts, playing in the gym, and running on the field at night. We absolutely loved our time and felt so refreshed after this weekend away from the pandemic news, on-line school, and the daily bustle. We could feel God's love every minute we were there. The food is amazing, the new cabins are cozy and comfortable, and we can't wait to return.

My sister and I spent a few wonderful days on a personal retreat at TCBC. It was a great time to reminisce about our youth at TCBC and enjoy many of the same activities. We had so much fun! It was great to commune with nature and feel God’s presence all around us. We had the best hosts!] They looked after every detail. We will be visiting again!

Some events in life, one wonders if it was a mere coincidence or if God had His hand in it. It was definitely no coincidence that I finally decided to take some respite for myself, a weary homeschooling mother of five, one day before my father would spend 2 1/2 weeks in and out of the hospital requiring so much of my attention. God knew I would need that rest before the storm, and Trout Creek was the avenue God would use. I am so thankful you decided to offer overnight retreats this fall. The accommodations were fabulous, and the home-cooked meals were scrumptious (I'm still thinking about that Sweet Potato Chili and the Chicken Pot Pie...and pretty much everything I was served!). The surroundings were beautiful, tranquil, and so ... quiet. I was fortunate enough to have the Guest speaker's cabin, with a comfy bed and a huge couch where I spread out all my kid's school books and did some much-needed planning in a rare 22 hours of peace and quiet with zero interruptions. Except to walk over to the lodge for coffee, tea, and cold drink refills any time I wished. Everything was exactly as I had hoped. If I could leave my duties at home more easily, I would be back every weekend. Thank you so much to all who made these retreats possible and to all who made my time there the momentary break that I needed.

Wow. What can I say but thank you for a life-changing experience? I came to Trout Creek this weekend, depressed, depleted, and completely exhausted with life. Today I leave here rested, rejuvenated, and comforted in God's arms. I can't wait to come back and enjoy this again. Cabin 20 will always have a special place in my heart as the place that I reconnected with God and myself. I am truly grateful. Thank you, and God bless you all.
